Tee Ball Baseball
Tee Ball Baseball is a developmental league for boys and girls 4 years old who want to learn the fundamentals of hitting and fielding. In Tee Ball, players hit a ball off a batting tee. The primary goals of Tee Ball are to instruct children in the fundamentals of baseball and to allow them to experience the value of teamwork. No score is kept in Tee Ball. 30 minute instructional, 30 minute games will be held on Saturdays.
Pee Wee Baseball
Pee Wee Baseball is an instructional division for Boys & Girls 5 - 6 years old who want to learn the fundamentals of hitting and fielding. In Pee Wee Baseball, players have a chance to hit a ball that is pitched by a coach, but (failing that) will have a chance to hit from a tee.
AA Minor League Baseball
Our Minor League Baseball division is for younger players with less experience. The minor league may be players ages 7-8. The Minor League Baseball division is a coach pitch. The emphasis in this division in on improving fielding, throwing and hitting skills while beginning to learn different aspects of the game including base-running. Base stealing is not permitted at this level. The diamond used is a 60-foot diamond.
AAA Minor League Baseball
Our AAA Minor League Baseball division is an advanced Little league Minor Division and is for players with a little more experience. The AAA Minor division may be players ages 9-10. The AAA Minor division is a player pitch division played on a 60 ft diamond with a pitching distance of 46 feet. Players are drafted to teams at the beginning of each season from the pool of players that remain following the draft held for the Little League Majors Baseball division. The division is drafted each season and players are not retained by a particular team from season to season.
Major League Baseball
The Major Division is for players aged 11 - 12. The teams are limited to no more than eight players the same age with rosters between 12 and 14 players. During the regular season these teams play in a week long inter-district tournament named the Keraga Cup. In 2016 the WTLL Mets won the Keraga Cup. At the end of the season a Little League Tournament Team (aka All-Stars) is chosen to represent WTLL in the International Tournament where teams can advance to the Little League World Series.
Intermediate Baseball
The Intermediate Division is for players aged 11 - 13. The pitching distance is 50 feet and base paths are 70 feet. Players may participate in Major Baseball and Intermediate Baseball regular seasons (or in the Intermediate Baseball and Junior Baseball regular seasons) in the same year.
Junior League Baseball
The Junior League Baseball division is for players age 13 and 14. The diamond used is a traditional 90 ft diamond with a pitching distance of 60 feet 6 inches. Our teams play teams from other leagues in District 8 with double-headers on Saturdays and games on Monday and/or Wednesday nights. At the end of the season the league selects a Tournament Team (aka All-Stars) for competition in the Junior League Baseball International Tournament where teams can advance to the Junior League World Series. In 2016, the WTLL Junior League All-Stars won the District 8 Championship.
Senior League Baseball
The Senior League Baseball division is for players age 15 and 16. Some of the players in this division come from surrounding leagues that do not offer this age level in their program by use of the Little League combined teams format. The diamond used is a traditional 90 ft diamond with a pitching distance of 60 feet 6 inches. Our teams play teams from other leagues in District 8 with double-headers on Sundays and games on Tuesday and/or Thursday nights. New players to the division are drafted to teams with returning players remaining on the same team as the previous season. At the end of the season the league selects a Tournament Team (aka All-Stars) for competion in the Senior League Baseball International Tournament where teams can advance to the Senior League World Series.
Minor League Softball
Minor Softball is an instructional division for girls 8 - 10 years old. Minor Softball is conducted with a combination of "Coach Pitch" and "Player Pitch". Teams play in an inter-league format with teams from surrounding leagues.
Major League Softball
Major Softball is a competitive division for girls 11 - 12 years old. The pitching distance is 40 ft. Teams compete against District 7 and District 8 in a Presidents Cup during the middle of the season as well as a single-elimination tournament with teams from District 8 at the end of the season.
Junior League Softball
The Junior League Softball division is a program for players ages 12 - 14, and uses a conventional 60-foot diamond with a 43 foot pitching distance. A local league may dual-roster 12-year-olds, assessed capable, to a Major and a Junior division softball teams.
